Wir nutzen Virtual-Reality-Technologien um mikroskopische Phänomene erfahrbar zu machen, die sich mit menschlichen Sinnen sonst nicht wahrnehmen lassen. Viren, Feinstaub, Mikroplastik oder Radioaktivität werden visualisiert und vermitteln die politischen und ökologischen Herausforderungen der Gegenwart in einer neuen Dringlichkeit. μ wird im Rahmen des DIVE-Festivals sowohl als Lecture-Performance im Fulldome als auch als VR-Installation präsentiert.

The artist Michael Saup uses virtual reality technologies to render microscopic phenomena tangible, which cannot be perceived with human senses otherwise. Viruses, fine dust, microplastics, or radioactivity are visualized within Michael Saup’s immersive artworks, conveying the political and ecological challenges of the present with a new urgency. His new work μ will be presented as both a lecture-performance in the fulldome and as a VR installation as part of the DIVE Festival.
